In response to the design challenge hosted by PDXoriginals, our team has decided to contribute a furniture set that will repurpose the intended use of the original airport bench. Inspired by Portland’s moral code of sustainability, PDX aesthetic and lifestyle, we’re exploring the combination of a loveseat, live-edged wooden table and an executive chair paired with an ottoman. The final design will result with a full suite for an interior retail space, specific to one students use regularly.

The iconic PDX Airport bench will be sustainably re-designed, with minimal waste, for a new application that breathes Portland originality, life, aesthetic and function.
