Located in the historic Power and Light Building in Downtown Portland, OR, Boly:Welch sought to elevate the aesthetics and functionality of their office lobby space. PDXOriginals collaborated with Boly:Welch to transform their lobby into an inviting, sophisticated area that reflects their professionalism and unique style. Our approach centered around the integration of our iconic Royal Navy Chromcraft Airport Benches, renowned for their mid-century charm and modern appeal.
To create an atmosphere of refined elegance, we carefully selected Royal Navy upholstery for the airport benches, ensuring a rich and deep color that exudes both comfort and timeless sophistication. The durable fabric was chosen not only for its luxurious appearance but also for its capacity to withstand daily use, making it ideal for a high-traffic area like Boly:Welch’s lobby. Each bench was meticulously restored and enhanced, with polished chrome and aluminum accents providing a mirror-like finish that complements the deep tones of the navy upholstery. This meticulous attention to detail creates a visual balance that enhances the architectural charm of the Power and Light Building.
Our design for the Boly:Welch lobby prioritized a welcoming yet professional ambiance, creating a space where clients and guests feel both comfortable and impressed. The Royal Navy Airport Benches offer flexible seating arrangements that encourage collaboration and conversation while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic. By integrating classic mid-century elements with a contemporary twist, the project exemplifies our expertise in blending timeless design with practical functionality.
Beyond aesthetics, PDXOriginals’ work underscores our commitment to providing high-quality, custom commercial furniture solutions tailored to the unique needs of businesses of all sizes. Whether for corporate offices, lobbies, or waiting areas, our approach ensures that every space we touch embodies both elegance and purpose. For Boly:Welch, this meant a lobby space that not only serves as a visual centerpiece but also enhances the overall experience of visitors, employees, and clients alike.
