Timbers Army Airport Bench to Benefit Street Soccer Portland

Update: Our collaboration bench with Timbers Army helped generate $44,247 for Street Soccer Portland. Big thanks to Tim & Deirdre Conway, and the Tonkon Torp Law firm for their generous contributions, and an amazing final resting place for the bench. Also need to thank Toffee Club & Rose City Fustal for hosting the bench, and Willamette Weekly Give!Guide for providing forum for local non-profits a forum to grow. We're so proud to be a part of such an amazing network of soccer fans in Portland!

PDXoriginals was created by a trio of Portland based soccer fanatics, with a shared passion for sustainable furniture and decor projects. Inspired by a desire to use our business to give back to the community we love, we've long sought a collaboration with the Portland Timbers supporters group, Timbers Army, and their non-profit arm, 107st. The perfect opportunity arose when our friend Adam approached us about a project to benefit his spectacular organization, Street Soccer USA Portland. In 2018, Street Soccer USA-Portland served 331 people from our city's homeless, refugee and under-served communities; provided 173 individual social service referrals; and improved the confidence, self-esteem and resiliency of 92 percent of participants.

In collaboration with the TA team, we've produced this re-imagination of the Chromcraft Airport Bench that lived in Portland International Airport for over 30 years.

This is the perfect way to watch our Portland Timbers bag goals. The Mustang Brown seat cushions are inspired by the Timber's bench seats our boys sit on every game. The log slab table is from club legend Diego Valeri's MVP season. Rose embroidered siding fabric helps balance the color scheme, inspired by the Rose City roots of the club. The seat backs feature game-used TIFO, highlighting club colors from this massive, colorful display.
