Located in the landmark Power and Light Building in Downtown Portland, Boly:Welch wanted to refresh their lobby with seating that would reflect both their professional identity and the building’s historic architectural character. They needed furniture that was both visually striking and durable, capable of withstanding the demands of a high-traffic environment while making a strong first impression on clients and visitors.Â
The Solution

PDXOriginals worked closely with Boly:Welch to transform their lobby using our restored Chromcraft Airport Benches, reupholstered in a rich Royal Navy fabric. These iconic mid-century designs were selected for their blend of vintage appeal and modern elegance. Each bench was meticulously restored—featuring polished chrome and aluminum frames that reflect light beautifully and elevate the deep navy upholstery. The color choice added a refined yet inviting tone, perfectly complementing the surrounding architecture and the company’s elevated brand presence.Â
